What is a "Friend of The Thread"?

Friends of The Thread (FOTT) is a nonprofit organization that operates in alliance with the City of LaGrange to oversee and push the project forward. FOTT acquires easements and property needed for The Thread, assists in the bidding process, provides contractor oversight and promotes and maintains the trail system.

Thanks to our future-focused residents, significant funding for The Thread is provided through SPLOST V, providing construction funds for priority sections of The Thread’s first 13 miles by 2022!

While SPLOST funds provide the money for the construction of the majority of the trails, FOTT secures the property needed for The Thread—without this, the project would not be as successful. As a 501(c)3 tax exempt organization, Friends of The Thread relies entirely on donations and grants from the public, with no operating funds provided by the government. We rely on tax-deductible contributions from advocates for The Thread and want to see the project succeed.

Friends of The Thread are recognized supporters of The Thread and its ability to unite and enhance the city of LaGrange. All gifts to Friends of The Thread are tax-deductible and immensely appreciated! With help from our supporters, FOTT oversees timely completion of The Thread’s trails and segments for the betterment of the community and the lives within it.
